We decided to take the coach to Alamorgordo and set up there
for a few days. The town of 35,000 is
nestled right up against the Sacramento Mountains which gave us a nice view
from the RV Park.
It was only a little over fifty miles to the RV park which
gave us a enough time to set up, have some lunch and head for the New Mexico
Museum of Space History.
I was familiar with a lot of it as it has happened in our
lifetime but it was still nice to see. A
lot of the exhibits that were inside were hard to take pictures of as the
lighting was not good. You know I still
tried to take some.
They had a replica of a flight simulator that was supposedly
exactly as the real thing. We were
allowed to try and land it using the flight controls. I died.
They had a number of exhibits outside that were pretty
interesting.
The tour ended our day so it was back to the RV Park for
some supper and relaxation. Another good
day on the road.
